Last updated 31 August 2026

We want The True Crime Sessions to be a day anyone can attend. This page sets out what we currently provide and how to reach us if you need something we haven’t listed.

The venue

The event takes place at Millennium Point, Birmingham. We are confirming the venue’s access facilities with the venue team and will publish full access details here at least four weeks before the event. If you have specific venue access questions, please email us.

What we aim to provide as standard

  • Step-free access to the auditorium, foyer and toilets.
  • Accessible seating positions with clear sight lines.
  • Hearing induction loops where available from the venue.
  • A quiet space for anyone who needs a break during the day.
  • Large-print or digital programme formats on request.

On request

  • British Sign Language interpretation.
  • Live captioning.
  • Guide and assistance dogs are welcome.
  • Companion tickets at no extra cost for attendees who need a carer.

Please contact us at least four weeks before the event so we can arrange things properly: contact@mayneeventmedia.co.uk.

This website

We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We have not yet carried out a formal independent accessibility audit, so we cannot state full conformance. If you find any part of the site difficult to use, please let us know and we will look into it.

How we check the site

We check the site using a mix of automated tools and manual checks, including:

  • Browser accessibility inspectors and keyboard-only navigation.
  • Automated scans such as Lighthouse and axe DevTools.
  • Manual checks for colour contrast, heading structure and image alt text.

Automated tools catch many issues but not all. The only way to be sure a site meets WCAG 2.2 AA is a full audit by an accessibility specialist or a recognised testing body, which we have not yet commissioned.

Reporting problems

If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or if you need information in a different format, email contact@mayneeventmedia.co.uk. We will aim to respond within five working days.

Enforcement procedure

If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
